What do Fanole and the trail have in common?
There are days for moderation. And then there are the kilometers after which something sweet really hits the spot.
At first glance, tea pastry and trail running might not be the most obvious pair. But when you take a closer look at what trail running really is, the connection becomes quite natural.

Trail isn't just running
Unlike road running, trail running takes place off the pavement—on wooded and rocky trails, through fields, over hills and downhills, on ever-changing terrain.
The miles and the finish time are part of the story, but trail running is just as much an experience of the place. It's a reason to get outside, to move, to spend time in nature, and to experience the landscape in a way you simply can't from a car.
That's precisely why trail running brings together a very diverse group of people. From experienced runners to recreational athletes for whom reaching the finish line is more important than finishing first.
And that's where Fanola fits into the story quite naturally.

We're not turning a crescent into a sports nutrition product.
Fanola is not a substitute for an energy gel, nor does it try to be.
Sweetness is a part of everyday life, but as with most things we love, it's important to find a balance. We don't need it all the time, nor should every moment be turned into an opportunity for something sweet.
But there are times when it's just nice to have.

After a few kilometers, climbs, and serious physical exertion, a familiar sweet treat can be just that – a small break and a bit of energy to keep going.
Or a reward when there's no more continuing because you've just reached the finish line.

Active and sweet can go together—in moderation.
An active life doesn't have to be a life of restrictions. Just as enjoying something sweet doesn't mean it has to be part of every moment.
We're much closer to the simple idea of balance: moving, being outdoors, doing things we enjoy, and knowing how to savor the little things when the time is right.
For over 30 years, Fanola has been a part of these simple moments – with coffee, after lunch, when someone comes over, or when we simply crave something sweet.
Now, it goes a little further than the kitchen table.
On the trail, because Fanola is the proud sponsor of the Lastovo Trail.

Familiar in every day. Even when that day has a few extra miles.
