Here's how Linzers from Kloštar Ivanić have taken over the shelves of all the major stores.
Some things we don't notice until they're gone. Morning coffee. Familiar conversations. The cookies we always have on hand for when guests drop by, for a quick break during the day, or when we simply crave something familiar with a cup of coffee. It's in these small, everyday moments that Fanola has been present for more than thirty years. Not as a big novelty or a passing trend, but as part of a routine we return to without much thought.
Tea pastries have a special place in our daily lives. They're the ones that sit on the table with coffee, wait for unexpected guests, or become a small ritual during the workday. Their value has never been in the spectacle. Quite the opposite. In their simplicity, familiar taste, and the sense of security they bring time and time again.

A tradition that fits into every day
Tea pastries hold a special place in Croatian culinary culture. Unlike cakes and creamy desserts that require refrigeration and immediate consumption, Linzer cookies and crescents were born out of practical necessity. They are biscuits that last, that can be taken on a trip, put in a school lunchbox, or saved for guests who drop by unannounced.
In every region of Croatia, there is a variation: some with walnuts, some with chestnuts, some with rosehip jam, but the common thread is always the same: simple ingredients, familiar flavors, and moments we love to return to.

That's why Fanola has remained true to the same values for more than three decades. In its production, it uses carefully selected ingredients and recipes that honor tradition, but above all, it preserves what is most important to consumers—the familiar taste they trust.
In the small town of Kloštar Ivanić, about thirty kilometers from Zagreb, that's exactly what Fanola does—a family-owned company that has been exclusively producing traditional tea pastries for over three decades. The slogan "We bake while you enjoy" summarizes the philosophy behind the brand: Fanola is there when you want something familiar, simple, and always available.

The biscuits that became a trademark
When you say Fanola, most people first think of the linzers, crispy shortbread pastry filled with apricot or cherry jam. Linzers are their best-selling product and a sort of brand ambassador on shelves across Croatia.
Their greatest value isn't that they're a big novelty or the most colorful packaging on the shelf, but that they remain the same year after year. Familiar, recognizable, and dependable. It is precisely this consistency that is one of the reasons why Fanola Linzers have, for years, naturally fit into homes, gatherings, work breaks, and everyday small rituals.

But Fanola doesn't stop at just Linzers. Their selection also includes crescents in various varieties—coconut, orange, walnut-honey, as well as "Family Magic" and walnut crescents that have won over all consumers. Each of these products carries on the same idea: to offer familiar flavors that naturally fit into everyday moments.

Young Owner, Old Philosophy
When Miro Drempetić took over Fanola in 2014, he faced a clear choice: to modernize production or to maintain its authenticity. He chose to do both. He decided to improve processes and capacities, but under no circumstances would he alter the recipes that had brought the company to that point.
Today, Fanola employs more than 40 people, and each of them is part of a story based on a simple principle: each product must retain the familiar taste that keeps consumers coming back.

Available at a store near you
One of the things that sets Fanola apart from many smaller producers is its wide availability. Their products can be found at Spar, Kaufland, Konzum, Studenac, Plodine, NTL, KTC, PPK Bjelovar, Ribola, Djel, Lorenz, Novalis, Trgovina Krk, Robin, and Gavranović—practically every major chain in Croatia.
In addition to its own brand, Fanola also produces cakes as private labels for retail chains, which further demonstrates the trust they enjoy in the industry.
